In between recording and performing with artists like Tina Harrod, Phil Treloar , Lucie Thorne, the sadly missed Jackie Orszaczky, to name a very select few, Hamish has been working on his own solo project... introducing Someone Else's Child. Just thought I'd let you know... Ive been playing with Cameron Undy at his club 505 on Tuesday nights. Its a great night ,a great hang , free to get in and the band is sounding mighty. The house trio has been Cameron , Carl Dewhurst and myself . Carl is traveling overseas now so we are very happy to have Matt Smith playing up a storm. Every week we have invited guests ...Matt keegan,James Greening ,Chris Abrahams , Dave Ades just to name a few. Well ... as the fog clears it looks like we may be able to take off to NYNY tomorrow morning .
I'm very much looking forward to catching up with some friends over there and listening to someone else play some music for a wile !! I have tickets for Mark Turner at the vanguard wile Im there ... Paul Motian will be playing with him and he is someone I'm very interested in of late . I may keep a bit of a blog going wile Im away if I get a chance every once in a wile . Hamish. Just letting you know that I have been asked to do a live spot on the Music Show, ABC Radio National on Saturday December 4th. I will be playing two song from the Album with a fantastic band.
